Congratulations to all our entrants! First Prize ($250) to Caleb Brown for his essay on the value of Hard Work and how it builds character. Second Prize (100) to Ellie Smith for her essay on Bravery and the difficulty of facing Life’s challenges without it. Third Prize ($50) to Ava Millerick for her essay on how Books are the most influential form of communication.  Here is the link to the podcast featuring the teen writers themselves – as many as we could round up! We are very grateful to the Friends of the Library and Bluestone Bank for sponsoring this inspiring event every year.

This summer we invited teens ages 12 – 19 to write a concise statement describing a belief or value that they hold dear and how they came to own this value.
